Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Trip - July 2008
This July, my dad and I had the opportunity to take a week long tour on motorcycles of many of the scenic areas of the Rocky Mountains. We spent seven days riding, camping, and sight-seeing and logged over 2000 miles on the bikes. It was an awesome trip that only those who have a passion for motorcycling can really understand. It is one thing to see such beautiful sights, but it is even more of a experience when riding on a motorcycle.
We started out in Salt Lake City, UT, heading north through Logan, UT and into Logan Canyon. We stopped in Jackson Hole, WY, toured Yellowstone National Park, rode the Bear Tooth Highway to the top (elevation 11,000 feet!), and then headed up into northwestern Montana. From there we toured Glacier National Park, then started heading south into Idaho and drove Rt. 93 through the mountains of Idaho which follow the Salmon River. We finished the the last leg of the trip by heading east from Wells, NV and across the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah.

Former bar & restaurant of Trixi, a world famous cowgirl performer during the WWII era. She settled here in a rather desolate par of Montana after retiring from show business. Just one of the many little bits of historic american culture you find along American's roadways.
Yes, we still hit numerous antique shops along the way. This was one of our favorites. Very nice place outside of Big Fork, Montana.

We made it back in one piece! How did we fit all that gear on the bikes?
