Fabulous Carved Mahogany Drop Front Desk

circa 1895-1900

Dimensions: 41″ wide  x 22 1/2″ deep x 53 1/2″ tall

Good clean original finish (There are minor scratches from use and age on the writing surface, but overall the original finish is great.)

Desk has French influence, but we believe it to be American-made since the combination lock on the metal safe signed “Rochester, NY” We have the combination to the working lock.

Metal safe on the inside is faux finished to look like mahogany

This desk came out of New York City and had always been in the same family.
